Celebrate the beloved Star Wars movies on Sunday, August 24th with activities related to “space” and a display of vintage and contemporary Star Wars toys which have had significant impact on play and childhood in the late 20th century and beyond.

Meet the Characters: 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Visitors can meet the heroes and villains from the Star Wars Trilogy.

Operate an R2D2 Unit: 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Kids can maneuver a life-sized R2D2 unit by remote control and try their hand at animating the endearing and iconic Star Wars robot.

A Far, Far Out  Dance Party:  2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Come enjoy a dance party that’s out of this world! Enjoy Star Wars tunes and celebrate the disco hits of the 1970s, the decade that Star Wars came out.

Galactic Play: 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Kids can dress up in Star Wars costumes and play with different action figures and starships toys in the Program Room.

Spacey Story Time: 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Story time will feature books that explore space, space travel, and stories that happened long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away.
